| NEW CLUB INFORMATION
To set up a club online:
1. Register yourself as and ADULT ON A JUNIORS ROSTER at www.krva.org.
This includes signing your waiver and mailing it in, as well as paying.
You can pay online using a credit card or a PayPal account.
2. Send in your background screening. Find the form under COACHES then
FORMS/POLICIES.
3. After you register, call the Juniors Chairperson at 484.226.8351
for your online orientation.
4. Read the Junior Operating Code on the FORMS/POLICIES page.
After your orientation and before your tryouts (or your first practice
if you don't have tryouts):
1. Register and background
screen all your coaches.
2. Get your tryouts
sanctioned (if you want to have tryouts-it is not required). Use
PROPOSE
TOURNAMENT under
TOURNAMENT
to do this.
Enter
1 in the team and court field.
3. Register your team(s) online. The fee is $30 per team. Go under
TEAMS AND CLUBS and then CLUB
MANAGEMENT. If you aren't sure of the
difference
between CLUB and OPEN ask. It's important to know the rules for
each because it can't be changed once you compete at one level or another.
4. READ the Junior Operating
Code, which is on the FORMS/POLICIES
page, which is under COACHES or ABOUT US.
5. Read the "What's
New" document in the same place.
6. Secure an insurance certificate for your practice facility by sending
the name and address to garylee@krva.org.
At tryouts: 1. Have each player fill out a medical
release. These
do NOT get sent to the region - they should be in the possession of
the coach at every practice and tournament.
NOTE: Each girl who comes to tryouts
must be a KRVA member, have a registration receipt from another tryouts
or fill out a registration form at your tryouts. You should have
blank registration forms and verification receipts at your own tryouts
for girls who register on the spot.
Within two weeks of a player joining your
club:
1 .As
your players and coaches are registered, go to CLUB
MANAGEMENT under
TEAMS & CLUBS to build your teams and rosters/affiliate
your members.
Before your first competition:
1. Enter tournaments online. A list goes up on Nov. 1, but registration
is not open until Dec. 7.
2. Your club needs one certified scorekeeper
and R2 - they don't have to keep score / officiate each time, but they
are responsible for anyone
who will be doing
so. Contact scorekeeper@krva.org and referee@krva.org for
information on how to become certified or go to the OFFICIALS
PAGE.
3. You must have an IMPACT certified coach on the bench at all
times. NOTE: new coaches have until March 15 to compete
their IMPACT certification.
4. Make sure your uniforms meet the USAV rules. See the OFFICIALS page
for a link to the online rulebook.
5. Give each of your girls a copy of their membership card to carry
to competitions or they can print their own at the link MEMBERSHIP
CARDS on the home page. You
have
the ability to print membership cards for the entire club under CLUB
MANAGEMENT.
6. Your coaches can print their own copies of their team roster
anytime under TEAMS
AND CLUBS. They must have a copy at every
event. TIP:
Give a team roster to each coach to stick in the ball bag or
med kit. In case a coach forgets a roster, this will ensure that
a backup roster is available at a tournament.

You will find it helpful to also read the Club
