  • Be a registered member of KRVA and a member of the respective club for the current season.
  • Be 18 or older as of September 1 of the current season.
  • Become certified for the current season as at least a Provisional Scorekeeper or a 2nd Year Provisional Referee.
  • Act as the liaison between the club and the Scorekeeper Chairperson. This person will be responsible for training qualified scorekeepers within the club and recommending individuals to be certified as Junior Scorekeeper.

-----------------------------------------
The KRVA CLUB SCOREKEEPER REPRESENTATIVE is a required individual for each club that has at least one junior team. Each club having a junior team must have at least one club scorekeeper representative to be the liaison between the club and the Region’s scorekeeper chairperson by established deadlines as noted in the junior operating code. For junior boys the deadline is January 31of the current season, and for junior girls the deadline is March 15 of the current season. This individual is responsible for the training of scorekeepers within the club using any methods that best fit the club’s needs, usually a group clinic and some individual instruction. The club scorekeeper representative will recommend to the scorekeeper chairperson those individuals from the club who should be certified as junior scorekeeper, a certification level that is recognized by USAV and is acceptable for all junior events. The club scorekeeper representative will send a single form listing the names and membership numbers of those recommended for certification as junior scorekeeper. See junior scorekeeper criteria for information on that certification. If there are any questions or concerns, contact the scorekeeper chairperson, scorekeeper@krva.org .

REGISTRATION – All KRVA club scorekeeper representatives must be members in good standing with the Region and with their respective club. For now, being “in good standing” simply means that any registration paperwork and information is up-to-date, and all required fees are paid.

CERTIFICATION – All KRVA club scorekeeper representatives must maintain certification as at least a provisional scorekeeper or a 2nd year provisional referee. See the appropriate certification level requirements for more information.

AGE – KRVA club scorekeeper representatives must be 18 years of age or older as of September 1 of the current season.
