The USAV JUNIOR NATIONAL SCOREKEEPER certification was for those individuals who attended the
Junior Championships and who wanted to keep score at those events. This certification was retired and no new certifications will be accepted. Existing USAV Junior National Scorekeepers may retain the certification by continuing to follow the recertification requirements of USAV. A new certification, USAV National Junior Scorekeeper may be replacing this certification, but that certification is still being developed.
REGISTRATION – All certified scorekeepers must be members in good standing with the Region. For now, being “in good standing” simply means that any registration paperwork and information is up-to-date, and all required fees are paid. All new and recertifying scorekeepers must be registered before participating as a scorekeeper in any event and before any ratings. It is recommended that all certified scorekeepers actively keep score on matches throughout the season. It is also recommended that existing USAV junior national scorekeepers maintain involvement by giving clinics, rating scorekeepers, helping clubs train their scorekeepers, and acting as scorekeeper monitors for events requiring monitors.
CLINIC – Recertifying USAV junior national scorekeepers need to complete the current season on-line scorekeeper clinic only if specifically notified by the scorekeeper chairperson. There will be no “live” Region-run scorekeeper clinics.
EXAM – Recertifying USAV junior national scorekeepers need to complete the current season on-line scorekeeper test as directed, only if specifically notified by the scorekeeper chairperson.
RATINGS – Recertifying USAV junior national scorekeepers do not need to obtain passing ratings within the Region.
