KRVA Player Referee Requirements
THIS IS A VERY BASIC CERTIFICATION LEVEL WITHIN THE REGION, THIS LEVEL IS ONLY USED BY INDIVIDUALS ON TEAMS WHO ARE REQUIRED TO EITHER BE R1 OR R2 WHEN THE TEAM WORKS AS THE OFFICIATING TEAM FOR A MATCH. FOR THOSE ON JUNIOR TEAMS, THE EMPHASIS IS ON THE R2 POSITION.
Those on adult teams are trained by the Referee Chairperson or his designee(s) just as higher level referees are trained.
Those on junior teams are trained within the club by direction of the Club Referee Representative for the current season. Junior players or adults on junior rosters may be certified as Player Referees with emphasis on the R2 position, by being recommended to the Referee Chairperson by the referees doing the training. Those referees doing the training and rating must be certified as Regional of higher level referee.
