2012 HP Program is Revving up

Planning for the 2012 HP season is underway. If you are an experienced coach who is interested in serving as an HP head coach, asst. coach, tryout evaluator, tryout court coach, or HP camp support, please contact KRVA HP Program Director Howard Vernick at juniorsusa@aol.com

Girls' Program Update
Tryout Session I - April 14, 2012, York Toyota Center in conjuction with the KRVA Bid Tournament.
7:30-9:30 PM (check back for schedule updates)

Tryout Session II - May 12, 2012, Harrisburg Farmshow Complex in conjunction with the KRVA Regional Championships.

Announcing Boys' HP Team Coach for 2012

Coach Hosack will lead the camp and will serve as the Head Coach for the Boys' Youth International Team.

2012 HP Camp
Dates for the 2012 HP Camp are:
4:00 PM Friday, June 15 through Noon Sunday, June 17 at Lock Haven University.

Camp will not conflict with AAU or JNC which are as follows:
AAU National Championship - June 19-27 for girls and June 21-24 for boys.
USAV Junior National Championship - June 28 - July 7

Steps for Participating in the KRVA HP Program - Friday, January 13, 2012

1) Download the tryout registration form from the KRVA web site. To access the form, click on the following: 2012 HP Tryout Application

2) Attend at least one of the HP tryouts. Tryout dates and locations are in the tryout registration form.

3) If you are selected from the tryouts to attend the KRVA HP Camp in June and you want to continue, register for the KRVA HP Camp once you receive your invitation. The cost of the camp is $200. It will be held at Lock Haven University in June.

4) After attending the camp, you will be informed if you are selected for one our HP teams. If you are selected, you will be invited to practices in July, and to be a member of the KRVA HP team that represents the Keystone Region at Des Moines, IA in July at the USAV HP National Championship. The cost to be on the team is $600 which covers uniform, tourney entry fee, and admin expenses. It does not cover transportation, food and lodging. Parents may attend but do not have to. There will be dozens of colleges coaches at this event looking at and recruiting players.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DECIDE TO ATTEND THE HP CAMP, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO JOIN THE HP TEAM IF YOU ARE SELECTED. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AS YOU MAKE YOUR DECISION ABOUT CAMP.
